On February 24, 2016, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST, the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) hosted its third webinar on issues that affect gender and climate change, “Implementing the Paris Agreement: Gender-Responsive Solutions and Changing Behaviors”.

Following the historic climate agreement reached in Paris this past December, GGCA members have the opportunity to shape the agreement’s implementation and address the shortcomings of the agreement by putting gender equality and human rights at the center of climate action.

Join the GGCA for our first webinar of 2016 with expert panelists who will discuss how to make the implementation of the Paris Agreement gender-responsive, including what types of solutions and behavior changes are necessary for a just transition.

SPEAKERS:

  • Yannick Glemarec, Deputy Executive Director for Policy and Programme, UN Women
  • Bridget Burns, Directory of Advocacy, Women’s Environment & Development Organization (WEDO) and Co-focal Point of the UNFCCC Women and Gender Constituency
  • Moderator: Vicky Markham, Coordinator, Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA)
