New York, April 13, 2010 — WEDO will participate on an April 21st panel at the UN entitled Financing Climate Change: Gender Equality, with Cate Owren moderating and Rachel Harris addressing  “What grass-roots women want: recommendations for action.” WEDO board member Soon-Young Yoon will speak on “Women in decision making: CEDAW and the Beijing Platform for Action.”

The panel is part of a larger programme taking place from 10am – 1pm on April 21 in Conference Room 4 of the UN North Lawn Building in preparation for the ECOSOC Annual Ministerial Review. Prior to the panel,the program will feature several keynote speakers, including HE Ms. Dessima Williams, Permanent Representative of Grenada to the United Nations.
