New York, March 8 — Today, on the occasion of 2010 International Women’s Day (March 8), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) honors leaders who are at the forefront of women’s empowerment in climate change solutions. Cate Owren, WEDO’s Program Director, is among the honorees. It is a privilege for WEDO to be honored alongside such a remarkable group of women, all of whom are partners and allies of WEDO in the work for a just, equitable and gender-responsive solution to climate change.
