NEW YORK (November 5, 2012)- The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is partnering with UK sustainability consultancy AEA and the CDKN Advocacy Fund to invite representatives from United Nations Member States to participate in a workshop on Negotiating Effectively Under the UNFCCC, to take place in Doha from the 20 to 22 November 2012.

The workshop will aim to provide participants with the information, skills and techniques needed to participate effectively in the COP18 conference and in UNFCCC negotiation sessions thereafter.  The course will provide an overview of the UNFCCC negotiations and their outcomes to-date, and will also incorporate sessions focusing on key issues on the negotiation table at COP18.  For more information and registration please visit: http://www.unitar.org/event/unfccc

Please note that places are limited and due to high demand, hence we encourage interested participants to register before Thursday 8 November, after which the application process will close. Applicants from poorest and most climate vulnerable countries will be eligible to receive participation support, with thanks to the CDKN Advocacy Fund.
