In 2025, GEDA concluded the pilot round of the Small Grants Program.
For GEDA's pilot round of the Small Grants Program, which concluded in 2025, partners worked in five countries — Afghanistan, Ghana, Costa Rica, Uganda, and Sri Lanka — to fill data gaps in their respective contexts and elevate the work of excluded actors through participatory methodologies.
Working across diverse thematic areas, GEDA’s 2024-25 grantees focused on:
- Understanding the gendered dimensions coastal climate adaptation strategies
- Mapping wetland degradation and advancing gender-responsive management strategies
- Measuring the gender dimensions of climate-induced loss and damage
- Tracking water availability and quality and its impact on climate mobility
- Improving women’s participation in data collection
Collectively, these projects reached thousands of community members and produced a body of evidence that is already informing local and national policy processes.
