For GEDA's pilot round of the Small Grants Program, which concluded in 2025, partners worked in five countries — Afghanistan, Ghana, Costa Rica, Uganda, and Sri Lanka — to fill data gaps in their respective contexts and elevate the work of excluded actors through participatory methodologies. 

Working across diverse thematic areas, GEDA’s 2024-25 grantees focused on:

• Understanding the gendered dimensions coastal climate adaptation strategies
• Mapping wetland degradation and advancing gender-responsive management strategies
• Measuring the gender dimensions of climate-induced loss and damage
• Tracking water availability and quality and its impact on climate mobility
• Improving women’s participation in data collection

Collectively, these projects reached thousands of community members and produced a body of evidence that is already informing local and national policy processes.
