New York, June 17–WEDO invites you to join us at  Peoples Voices on the Crisis, an event we’re co-sponsoring that aims to shed light on  the all-too-real social and environmental impacts of the current financial, food, energy and climate change crises. The event will bring together activists from civil society organizations, trade unions and grassroots groups on a local, national and international level who will give testimony on how their lives and communities are being directly affected by this systemic crisis. The event precedes a major UN event on the economic and financial crises, being held 24-26 June 2009 at UN headquarters in New York.
