New York, March 10 — In response to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s recent appointment of an all-male High Level Advisory Board on Climate Change Financing, we have written the attached open letter expressing the need for women to be on the high level board.  We invite you to add your organization’s name to the letter.

If you would like to sign your organization to this letter please send the name of your organization to rachel [at] wedo [dot] org by noon Friday 12 March.  We look forward to presenting this letter to SG Ban Ki-moon before the end of CSW.

View the letter here.

Please forward this letter to others in your network who would be interested in signing. Also, if you are still at CSW, please continue your advocacy efforts with country delegations to encourage them to pressure SG Ban Ki-moon to respond to the call for inclusion of women on the High Level Advisory Board.

In addition, please find a list of qualified women for the panel. Please note that by signing the letter you are not endorsing the listed women; the list is a signal that many qualified women from around the world can be considered for inclusion in an equitable group. If you have suggestions of more women to include as candidates for the high level advisory board, please send their names and affiliations to rachel [at] wedo [dot] org by noon Friday 12 March.

View the list of potential candidates here.
