New York, May 5th 2011– Today, WEDO’s Bridget Burns will share experiences of advocating for gender equality and promoting women’s leadership in the context of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at the Women’s Earth and Climate Caucus Forum, a parallel event of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) taking place this week.

Please join us for this exciting event! Presenters from NGO’s, business, and grassroots organizations will share reports, stories, and photographs about women and girls on the forefront of climate change. We will be highlighting women worldwide as innovators and agents of change in adapting to and mitigating climate change. There will be ample time for group discussion/interaction. Men are also welcome to attend the Caucus and are central participants in our work. This event is open to the general public as well as NGO’s and will take place during the UN 19th Commission on Sustainable Development.
