WEDO, in partnership with the UNFCCC Secretariat and with the support of the Governments of the Netherlands and Australia, is pleased to invite you and/or your fellow delegates to participate in a two-evening workshop or ‘Night School’ – covering negotiation skills and technical language training – on behalf of the Women Delegates Fund (WDF) Program.
The workshop will be hosted at Gustav-Stresemann-Institut e.V. from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday to Saturday, 5–6 May 2017. This two-night series will focus on drafting text for interventions, decisions and other written outcomes of the negotiating process, with the aim of strengthening the participants’ capacity to participate effectively in the negotiating process. The training will include experiential learning through a mock negotiation exercise and provide a set of tools and materials that participants can utilize in upcoming UNFCCC meetings. Beyond the training, we aim for these two nights to provide a space for engaging with other women delegates.
Participants who can most benefit from this training will be newer women delegates with limited experience in the UNFCCC negotiation process (0-1 years); experienced delegates who are interested in honing their negotiation skills; delegates interested in broadening their network of delegates working in the UNFCCC.

There is no fee to join this training but space is limited.
