Feminists Join for Global Climate Strike: A Call to Action
We will be joining fellow feminists, inspiring climate activists and youth leaders from 350.org, the Sunrise Movement and many more to convene in New York on September 20 as part of the Global Climate Strike to demand urgent, transformative action to address the climate crisis. Fill out this form to be added to our ‘Feminists at the Global Climate Strike NYC’ WhatsApp group for a meeting point location the morning of the strike.

Fierce Feminist Solutions to End Climate Chaos
On the eve of the summit, join WEDO, the Sierra Club, Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) & frontline feminist climate activists for a night of speaking truth, showcasing solutions & creating change. This exciting networking event featuring music, art, poetry and a short panel of incredible global changemakers who are implementing local, gender-just and human rights-based solutions to end climate chaos.

Changing the Forecast for Girls: Targeted Responses to Climate Change That Strengthen the Resilience of Girls
Girls and young women are particularly vulnerable to the consequences of climate change, but they are not just victims – they hold enormous potential to contribute to solutions for climate mitigation and adaption. WEDO Director Bridget Burns will be joining a panel for an event hosted by Plan International, alongside other agents of change, to discuss how girls and young women’s needs must be addressed in climate policies, and how we can more strategically support their participation and leadership in the climate space.

Feminist Agenda for a Green New Deal
Join WEDO alongside Sierra Club, Women’s Earth, Climate & Environmental Network, MADRE, NAACP, Grassroots Global Justice, Ginew, and others for our official launch of a Feminist Agenda for a Green New Deal! Noticing a gap in the gendered analysis of climate change and a just transition, this powerful, collective initiative of women’s and environmental groups aims to make women’s rights a central part of our climate action. The event will introduce a set of key principles, featuring a panel discussion and Q&A session followed by refreshments.
