CARIBBEAN ASSOCIATION FOR FEMINIST RESEARCH AND ACTION (CAFRA)
Flavia Cherry has worked for many years in advocacy and action as one of the Caribbean Association for Feminist Research and Action’s (CAFRA) leading advocates on the subject of the environment and climate change. In St. Lucia she is the host is the host of the television talk show “The Gender Dimension” which she has used to promote gender equality and social justice. Active in many networks Flavia has undertaken many campaigns and activities which have led to varying degrees of change within the society, including law reform on abortion, policy change on water, improved service delivery for children, as well as demanding full respect for the human rights of vulnerable populations, including sex workers. . At the international level, Flavia has worked closely with various Missions of Caribbean states at the UN. Her roles include facilitating workshops, leading dialogues, and policy analysis.
