This Media Advisory was distributed on the occasion of WEDO/CWWL/HBF’s high-level roundtable, HOW A CHANGING CLIMATE IMPACTS WOMEN, 21 Sept. 2007.

This focuses on how women are particularly at risk when it comes to the negative consequences of climate change. Historic disadvantages such as restricted access to resources and information and limited power in decision-making, make women more susceptible to the dangers of extreme weather events.
