New York, September 3, 2010- WEDO’s Rachel Harris presented GGCA’s advocacy team assessment of the latest update of gender in the climate change negotiations in 4 workshops on gender and climate change in Mexico City. These workshops, hosted by the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA), UNDP Mexico, IUCN, Heinrich Boell Foundation, and SEMARNAT (Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico) helped to build the capacity of Mexico’s national and state government officials, non-governmental organizations, women and environment networks and academics. In total, the workshops were successfully attended by about 100 participants.
