Where are women and feminist activists assembling?
The ‘Women for Climate Justice’ contingent will be meeting at 68th Street and Central Park West at 10:30am. You must enter from 72nd street and Columbus Ave. and arrive between 9 – 10:30am to march with our group. There will be a large ‘Women for Climate Justice’ banner and march volunteers to guide you to our contingent.
Anyone arriving later than 10:30am may face access issues to the assembly area, which is why we encourage you to come early. Those who cannot be there early can join the march at the end, north of 86th street.

Who’s marching?
YOU! All women, men, girls, boys, transgender and gender non-conforming individuals marching for climate justice and gender equality. Feminists, Activists, Allies, Parents, Children, Family and Friends. And contingents from over 40 organizations, groups and alliances representing thousands of individuals and regions. March: Need to Know Info
The People’s Climate March Organizers have developed an incredibly comprehensive MARCH FAQ which you arerecommended to read thoroughly to understand the plans for the day. Some key things to point out:
Logistics
- To stay up to date about happenings the day of the march, please text the word “march” to 97779. After doing this, you will receive updates about the march.
- There will be port-a-potties in the assembly areas.
- If you are worried about marching the distance, you can gather at the corner of 44th and 6th Ave., arriving no later than 11:30am.
- The march is approximately 2 miles long,
- The march will begin at 11:30 am.
- March down Central Park West and go east on 59th Street
- Turn onto 6th Ave. and go south to 42nd Street
- Turn right onto 42nd Street and go west to 11th Ave
- Turn left on 11th Ave. and go south to 34th Street
- End Location: 11th Ave. in the streets between 34th Street and 38th Street

What should I bring?
- Signs (no wooden sticks though, use cardboard instead)
- Your voices (chanting and singing involved)
- Water
- Music-makers!
How can I stay in touch/ spread the word on the women’s contingent?
Women’s Mobilizing Day, Saturday, September 20th
On Saturday, September 20th the WEDO offices will be hosting open office hours from 2-6pm to speak-out, share stories, create signs and convene prior to the march. We will have ‘Women for Climate Justice’ posters, stickers, temporary tattoos and materials for you to make your own signs. We are located at 355 Lexington Avenue, 3rd Floor New York, NY. You must RSVP if you plan on attending!
