NEW YORK (July 20, 2009)--As part of the effort to foster gender sensitive climate change policy-making, the Global Gender and Climate Alliance (GGCA) launched a Gender and Climate Change Training Manual at the UNFCCC conference (COP-14) in Poznan, Poland, last December, and held an orientation for Party delegations.

The training manual is now available and can be downloaded from the IUCN website. The GGCA, of which WEDO is a member, will hold additional training orientations on the gender dimensions of climate change throughout the year, and in preparation for each major UNFCCC meeting.
