The Women’s Major Group responded to the “Chair’s draft Elements for decision” on 14 April 2005.
“We the women are surprised and disappointed that after all the strong and adequate words of so many countries during CSD 12, the preparatory meeting and these last few days on this floor, and all the good examples of and ideas for the participation of women, the cross cutting issue of gender equality is so minimal and poorly worded in the draft.”
