This year – our 20th anniversary year! – we are honoring the legacy of women’s leadership and activism, celebrating those who helped make WEDO what it is today and who continue to work alongside us every day toward improving women’s lives around the globe. Encouraging the next generation of women leaders, we’re reaching out especially to young professionals and newcomers to the women’s movement; our upcoming event is one we hope will educate and inspire!

On Wednesday, September 14th, we invite you to join us again for our second ‘open house’ in celebration of our 20th Anniversary, WEDO20+.

This special event will be a film screening of “Passionate Politics: The Life and Work of Charlotte Bunch”, a new film about the extraordinary path of a global women’s rights activist and a long-time friend and partner to WEDO. A Q+A with Ms. Bunch will follow.

Please find more details about the event below (download Flyer) (View Trailer). We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a wonderful evening!

An Evening with Charlotte Bunch
Film Screening of “Passionate Politics: The Life and Work of Charlotte Bunch”

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Ms. Bunch.

About the Film
PASSIONATE POLITICS brings Charlotte’s story to life, from idealistic young civil rights organizer to lesbian activist, to internationally-recognized leader of a campaign to put women’s rights, front and center, on the global human rights agenda. Charlotte has been both a product and creator of her times: every chapter in her life is a chapter in the story of modern feminist activism, from its roots in the 1960’s struggles for social justice to international campaigns against gender-based violence today.
