This information and action guide describes the Millennium Development Goals, their connection to women’s equality and strategies to ensure the inclusion of a gender perspective.
WEDO recognises the need for gender equality to ensure that the MDGs are accomplished while also addressing systemic issues in societies that often limit the empowerment of women. This toolkit, therefore, lays emphasis on placing gender equality and women empowerment as essential to the achievement of all the goals.
