Honolulu, Hawaii (Sep. 6, 2016) – WEDO attended the 2016 IUCN International World Conservation Congress, which is themed “Planet at the Crossroads”, focusing majorly on “Business” and “Biosecurity”.

IUCN has been at the forefront of recognizing conservation is interconnected with all socioeconomic aspects, yet much more effort is needed from IUCN, to integrate gender as a critical element of conservation and sustainable development.
